Overview: Steve Addington, long boarding, grass-totting, soul-surfer returns to Malibu for the summer to find his hometown atmosphere damaged. New sponsorship requires the surfer to extend Virtual Reality-Video Games and Reality TV. Reluctant to participate in this new digital reality, Addington decided to stay and analog ground, surfing majestic hence, wave-Cal. But in a twist of fate Bible, the waves go flat and stay flat. Beyond money, sponsored his expense account canceled, betrayed by his friends, waveless Addington is backed into a corner hard. You must endure the insanity of the wave of drought or give a man and his reality-changing machines and pre-packaged entertainment. Aided by its director (Woody Harrelson), his mentor (Scott Glenn), his guardian-angel (Willie Nelson) and her lover summer (Alexie Gilmore), Addington (Matthew McConaughey) has a high quality opportunity to maintain their cool, maintain its smooth and harmony with what they fracture and waveless world.
