Overview: A man is torn between his faith, his family and his profession in this tense thriller. Tariq Ali (Naseeruddin Shah) was born in Pakistan and raised in a Muslim family by parents who later emigrated to London, but has been willing to establish a certain amount of their cultural identity aside in order to advance his career in law enforcement. Tariq is married to Susan (Greta Scacchi), which is both British and Christian, and who is raising two children, Zara (India Wadsworth) and Imran (Arruñada Harker). Tariq intelligence and professionalism have helped him become one of the main detective at Scotland Yard, but when a suspected Muslim terrorist was shot dead by police, Tariq is assigned to investigate in hopes of calming public anger over the incident . As Tariq waiting in the background of the victim, as well as the actions of the police, the media discovers evidence of friendship with Tariq Junaid (Om Puri), a prominent Islamic leader who is believed to be linked to several terrorist groups.
