Overview: When you fall ill on their way home from school, 15-year-old Michael Berg is rescued by Hanna, a woman twice his age. The two begin a passionate affair unexpectedly and only Hanna suddenly and inexplicably disappeared. Eight years later, Michael, now a young law student observing the trials of Nazi war, meets his former lover again, under very different circumstances. Hanna is on trial for a heinous crime, and as she refuses to defend himself, Michael gradually realizes his childhood love can be monitoring a secret she considers more shameful is that the assassination.
