His therapist, Madeleine Gravis, it is better to connect in his best-seller that she is in counseling him. A new relationship with the alluringly candid Hazel has prematurely run aground. And a mysterious condition is systematically shut down each of his autonomic functions, one by one. Concerned about the transience of life, he leaves behind his house. It meets a whole cast in a warehouse in the city of New York, hoping to create a work of brutal honesty. He runs into a celebration of the mundane, instructing each to live their lives in a growing mockup built outside the city. Somewhere in Berlin, his daughter is growing under the questionable guidance of Adele's friend, Maria. His persistent attachments to both Adele and Hazel are causing how to lead his new marriage to actress Claire on the ground. Sammy and Tammy, actors hired to play Chain and Hazel, are making it difficult for the real string to revive their relationship with the real Hazel. The textured tangle of real and theatrical relations blurs the line between the world of work and the deterioration of Chain of reality itself. The years quickly times in each other, chains and buries himself deeper into his masterpiece. As he pushes the limits of their relationship, both personally and professionally, a change in creative direction comes to Millicent Weems, a celebrated theater actress who can provide the break that chain needs.
