Overview: Martine Carol known as stars of the 19th century Mexican circus performer Lola Montes, which in its heyday counted among his lover's head crowned in France, Italy, Poland and Russia. The film dwells at Lolas' extended affairs with King Ludwig of Bavaria (Anton Walbrook) and composer Franz Liszt (Will Quadflieg). We learn from these different Amours in flashback form, the film is framed by a prologue and epilogue in a tawdry circus of New Orleans, where an old and faded Lola is exploited by a slimy nickel-and-dime RingMaster (Peter Ustinov).
